Activity sheets and trails
Hunt for Peadar the pygmy shrew, take the animal trail challenge or choose your favourite object. Collect an activity sheet, clipboard and pencils at reception or at the Activity Carts in the galleries to enjoy a self-guided activity trail together.
You will find out fun, family activity areas with games, books and resources on Level C and get a great view of the ancient Round Tower while you colour-in or finish a jigsaw.
Experience history by handling the vast range of objects throughout the galleries and keep an eye out for the green ‘Please Touch’ signs.
Traditional games box
Learn to play Queenie-I-O, five slates, skittles and other classic street games. Borrow the games box from Reception and set-up your games outdoors.
What would you have worn in the 1900s? Find the dress-up station and try on some clothes from long ago.
Explore the Green Flag award-winning gardens and woodlands of Turlough Park. There is lots to see and do. Find the model thatch cottage, or try to identify the oldest tree in the grounds!
