Join Museum curator Dr. Edith Andrees for a tour of the Irish Silver galleries at the National Museum of Ireland – Collins Barracks. 

This exhibition traces the development of the silversmith’s craft from the early 17th Century to the present day. Dr. Andrees will showcase some of the most interesting objects in the exhibition that explore the use of Irish silver in the past, as well as highlight pieces from a new exhibition “Beyond the Surface”, which contains artworks made by students from the National College of Art and Design and objects from the Museum’s ethnographical collection.

Culture Club is a series of hosted talks, tours and activities that introduce and encourage people to connect with the cultural spaces of the city. This event is part of a series of Culture Club tours and talk held throughout 2025, as a collaboration between the National Museum of Ireland and the Dublin City Council Cultural Company.
