Late Night Opening: Specimen Spotlight
Free
Dive into in the newly opened Dead Zoo Lab at the National Museum of Ireland at Collins Barracks to discover some highlights from the natural history collections.
Meet with the curatorial team from Natural History, who will be on hand to “shine a spotlight” on the specimens, sharing unique histories and fun facts about objects from flamingos to fossils, Blashkas to beetles, and everything in between! Learn the interesting stories behind the specimens in the cases, what they’re used for, and the importance of the work being done in the Museum to safeguard them for the future.
Location: National Museum of Ireland at Collins Barracks. The Dead Zoo Lab is located in the Riding School. Please enter by the glass doors next to the car park. Please be advised there may be a queue, and as it will be outside please dress for the weather.
This is a drop-in event. No booking required but there may be a short waiting time. Wheelchair accessible. Children must be fully supervised by a parent or adult who is in loco parentis.
