Put your architect's eye to the test in this family workshop that asks you to imagine your own sustainable children's area in the Museum!

Learning from the past and looking to the future, join architect Jacinta Delaney Curley for this children's workshop. Families will work together to design and build their own imaginative model for a children's area within the Museum using craft with a sustainability focus and inspired by the Museum and its collection.

Mini Architects at the Museum! is a 2-hour workshop, and will take place from 13:30 - 15:30 in the Palatine Room at Collins Barracks.

Age Suitability 6-12 year olds. Children must be supervised at all times. Spaces are limited and need to be pre-booked. Please reserve tickets for all attendees, both adult and children. Tickets are limited to 4 per group. No more than 2 adults permitted per group.

Facilitator Biography

Jacinta Delaney Curley is an artist and workshop facilitator based in London, UK, originally from Galway, Ireland. She has facilitated architecture workshops for children over a 10 year period in Education & Outreach 2025 iconic Irish buildings like the Casino Marino and as part of community led design projects like Ballyfermot Skate park. She has also been part of the Architects in Schools Initiative since 2013. She is interested is in passing on an appreciation for architecture & craft and empowering children to have a say in their built environment through hands on models making.
