The National Museum of Ireland is currently procuring dynamic, passionate Tour Guides and Facilitators to join our panel for programming about the museum’s natural history collections, including zoology and geology.
This is your opportunity to ignite curiosity, foster dialogue, and create unforgettable experiences for diverse audiences from Ireland and beyond.
As a Guide or Facilitator, you’ll be at the heart of our mission to inspire curiosity, connection, and relevance. Through storytelling, interpretation, and meaningful engagement, you’ll deepen public understanding of science, the natural world, our environment and heritage.
We are seeking people who are:

Energetic, confident communicators with a love for science, the environment and culture

Flexible and enthusiastic, with availability for part-time work

Skilled at engaging groups of all ages in accessible, inclusive, and inspiring ways
Whilst the Dead Zoo, home of these scientific collections at the National Museum of Ireland on Merrion Street is closed, join the Tour Guide and Facilitator Panel for the Dead Zoo Lab in the Riding School at The National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks (Dublin 7). The panel will be for these new temporary natural history exhibitions.
Appointment to the panel shall not be construed or have effect as constituting any relationship of employer and employee between a Successful Candidate and the National Museum of Ireland. Any engagement offered to a Successful Candidate following appointment to the Panel will be on an independent supplier basis.
