What's on for Post Primary Schools

Students taking part in a guided tour at the National Museum of Ireland, Kildare Street.

This autumn, the National Museum of Ireland invites post-primary students to explore a rich and engaging educational programme designed to bring history, heritage, and culture to life.

Through interactive workshops and guided tours, students can delve into the personal stories of Irish men and women impacted by military conflicts such as World War I and the 1916 Rebellion, gaining a deeper understanding of Ireland’s complex past. They can also discover the development of Irish art, uncover the fascinating origins of Halloween traditions, or learn how to trace their ancestry through family tree research.

With limited spaces available and popular sessions like the new Dead Zoo Lab at Collins Barracks opening for school visits, we encourage early booking to avoid disappointment.
