Over 90 years, the National Museum of Ireland has been collecting examples of a particular chair type known as the 'Sligo' or 'Tuam' chair. Our Irish Chair: Tradition Revisited is a temporary exhibition in which the Museum's full collection of these chairs is displayed for the first time. The exhibition takes a closer look at this chair type and its place in the story of Irish design.
It is no longer necessary to pre-book your visit to NMI - Natural History but numbers are still very limited. Visitors should be prepared to wait in a line outside.
